Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965), is an American actress. Her most well-known role is her character as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. In her role as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The seventh season of the series ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her recurring role in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for a Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The actress also appeared in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald who is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech Therapist. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was an Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English heritage. Sedgwick has publicly declared her Jewish roots and stated that she participates in Passover seders.
